Botanical Sun Printing
Honey Harbour Park Location: Saturday, July 11 at 10:30 am
Join us to discover the art of printing with the sun! During this workshop participants will use botanicals, a bit of chemistry, and lots of solar energy to create a unique piece of art to take home. No experience necessary. Materials are provided; however, you are welcome to bring small personal items to experiment with. This workshop is weather dependent.

Explore Your Inner Artist
Baxter Ward Community Centre: Thursday, July 16, July 30 and August 13 at 1 pm – 3 pm
Exploring your inner artist with Monica Wickeler.
Use mark making and artistic techniques to explore your creative side with local artist Monica Wickeler. In this workshop you will be guided through various techniques to explore and create in a social, safe, and inspiring environment. Supplies will be provided.

Community Volunteer Information Event with Scales Nature Park
MacTier: Saturday July 18 at 1 – 3 pm
Scales Nature Park is hosting a volunteer training session for community members interested in becoming more directly involved in reptile conservation. This session will provide training in species identification, safe handling methods, data collection, reporting procedures, and permit requirements under their supervision.

If you rely on a private or other non-municipal water source, your water quality may change over time. Visit any of our three locations to pick up your free water testing bottle and ensure the safety of your home’s water.

Dog Tags
Available at all branches during regular hours of operation
Need a dog tag? Stop in at any of our branch locations to obtain your Lifetime Dog Tags. A valid Rabies Vaccination record is required. Cost is $50.00 per license, cash only accepted.

Burn Permits
Available at all branches during regular hours of operation
Planning on burning? Get your open air burn permit today! Just stop into any of our three branches to fill out your application. Cost is $20.00, cash only accepted.

Parking Passes
Available at all branches during regular hours of operation
Get your free parking pass at any one of our three branches! Proof of residency must be provided.

Battery Recycling
Available at all branches during regular hours of operation
When those well used batteries wear out just bring them into any one of our branch locations to recycle them. Accepting single-use batteries and rechargeable weighing 5 kgs or less each. No wet-cell, damaged or defective batteries accepted.
